My goal is being on my seventies and fly that machine for fun

Low cost in the context of aircraft is not what people not in aviation think. Low cost means it will cost you $70-80 per hour to fly if you fly around 100 hours per year, plus the cost of the aircraft. That amounts to about 12-15k per year up to the high side of 30k per year, again not including the cost of purchasing the aircraft. It’s really not comparable to a car in any way shape or form. It’s not like buying a literal Honda civic!

Outside of all else.. The lines of this airplane, especially with regard to when it was first designed, are really nice..

I still think out of all the aircraft I’ve flown the 182Q I have 60hrs in was my favourite, they’re such a reliable and comfortable aircraft. Also I love how he said, “not perfect but I’ll take it” after his landing when the front tyre couldn’t have touched down any closer to the centre of the centreline haha. Great video guys !!

I used to fly out of KFXE for my first job outta school. They assigned me the Friday afternoon slot and I was over the moon bc it meant being back to home base in time to party. Then I figured why they did that: you were stuck in taxiing for 30 min behind jets at 100+ degrees in the cabin of the Cessna 210. Trust me… I can appreciate built in AC. I also flown cirrus sr20 and sr22 in the past and I love those planes.

Greatest GA aircraft of all time, imo. I’ve trained/flown in 152s, 172s, a Grumman yankee, others…but the Cherokee was, by far, my favorite. It’s just a *friendly* airplane in every imaginable way.

Should have had a proper throttle quadrant and not steam engine push controls. Also, all that composite is going to total an airplane in a small incident because you can't have any old sheet metal guy fix it.

Beautiful airplane !! I flew in mostly 152s and 172s but the one thing you clearly notice when in a 182 is it's a much heavier airplane than a 172 which makes for a much more comfortable ride. I got to fly in a brand new one with a friend and his wife from Salem, Oregon to PIA in Portland, OR and then back to Salem, which that leg turned out to be a night flight out of PIA. And I must say back in the mid 80s, Portland, Oregon at night was a very beautiful sight. Very fun flight and I will say I love the Cessna 182.
